Let them eat.. biscuits!!
Who doesn’t enjoy a nice warm biscuit from the oven? A little butter, a little jam or whatever you fancy!
It doesn’t matter if your facility makes them from scratch, buys in a mix or brings them in pre-made they all have a great quality outcome with the Burlodge retherm system. Normally our carts do not bake food items but this has been tested and works perfectly. Here are a few production tips to help you produce that perfect biscuit for your patients, residents, clients or customers.
Biscuits made from scratch:
Place your biscuit dough on a flat tray and place them on one of the top racks. Bake for 21 minutes at 170°C. Your biscuits will be completely cooked inside and have a golden brown exterior.
Biscuits bought pre-made:
Place your pre-made biscuits in a production pan uncovered on the bottom shelf of the Multigen. Retherm for 10 minutes at 170°C. This will make your biscuits warm and give them a golden brown crispy exterior.
OR place your pre-made biscuits in a production pan and cover them with foil. Place the pan on the hot top of the Multigen. This will warm up your biscuits but not give them a crispy exterior.
Biscuits made from a mix:
Place your biscuit dough on a flat tray and place them on one of the top racks. Bake for 14 minutes at 170°C. Your biscuits will be completely cooked inside and have a light brown exterior.
